The Gardners Intimate New Years Eve Backyard Micro Wedding

S & K reached out to me earlier in the year and told me how much they loved my work and what I stood for. They told me they were planning on having a New Years Eve wedding, which i’m always kind of hesitant about because usually I like to spend it with my family. But after talking to them and about their vision I decided to accept it as it would only be a short amount of the day.

Leading up to their wedding the news started to show SNOW! I reached out to K and she told me about their plans and that it would continue even if it snowed, which I must say I was pretty pumped about, I had never shot a wedding in the snow.

So the day came and no snow, so I figured well be fine, then I made the drive to Midland… lets just say my camera, my mask and the snow made for some foggy cozy vibes! They were surrounded by the people who love them the most and of course me! They set up their house with a beautiful tablescape from Revel Events and Design complimented with beautiful florals from Velvet Mesquite Designs. Their ceremony was short and sweet but full of beautiful meaning with the beautiful vows they exchanged.

After a few family photos we ventured back into the cold to do some portraits in the snow! What this wedding and this year have really shown what I already knew. Weddings should be about the two of you no matter how big or small your wedding is. It’s all about YOU.
